Responsibilities
  • To provide legal advice and support to the firm and business units regarding legal and regulatory issues on a day-to-day basis in relation to securities, futures, asset management and insurance businesses and other ad hoc projects
  • To prepare, review and handle legal documentation
  • To assist in handling litigation matters
  • To instruct and liaise with external lawyers and professional consultants
  • To report to the senior management on legal issues, where needed
  • To supervise handling of deceased clients’ and bankrupt clients’ accounts
  • To liaise with regulatory and government authorities
 
Requirements
  • A law degree with honors from Hong Kong
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in legal or financial services field
  • Familiar with rules and regulations on securities and futures businesses and dealing with relevant regulators
  • Attention to details, and high accuracy
  • Proficiency in computer skills (MS word, Excel)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua

Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate and review legal documents for OTC derivatives, structured products, debt financing, and syndicated loan transactions
  • Advise on contractual arrangements such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and trading platform agreements such as Electronic Services Agreements (ESAs)
  • Assess legal risks in debt capital markets (“DCM”) and structured finance transactions
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Liaise with external counsel when necessary
 
Requirements
  • A qualified lawyer with honors from Hong Kong or England
  • Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in legal or financial services field
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in OTC derivatives, structured products, DCM/structured finance and syndicated loan transactions  
  • Working knowledge of securities and futures regulations and experience in dealings with relevant regulators

Responsibilities
  • Track and analyze major cryptocurrencies, altcoins, and token performance across centralized and decentralized platforms
  • Provide insights on trading patterns, liquidity, and market sentiment to support business decisions and product ideation
  • Explore and engage with Web3 applications, protocols, and communities to identify innovative use cases and partnership opportunities
  • Stay up to date with developments in DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, and other decentralized ecosystems
  • Conduct research on the evolving crypto landscape, including regulatory updates, new token launches, and emerging technologies
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot (MCP) and others to enhance research, analysis, and productivity
  • Ability to build or automate workflows using platforms like Cursor or Claude AI is a strong plus
  • Monitor key opinion leaders (KOLs), influencers, and thought leaders in the crypto space
  • Assist in preparing materials for internal discussions, partner meetings, and strategic proposals
  • Collaborate with product, strategy, and compliance teams to support project execution and market validation
 
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field. 
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in crypto trading, research, or Web3 engagement
  • Hands-on experience with crypto trading platforms and understanding of market dynamics
  • Active engagement with Web3 protocols, DApps, and communities; understanding of DeFi, NFTs, and DAOs
  • Ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, MCP) for research, writing, and analysis. Experience with building workflows or programs using Cursor or Claude AI is a plus
  • Strong grasp of tokenomics, blockchain trends, and the broader digital asset landscape
  • Ability to interpret market data, conduct research, and present actionable insights.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Existing presence as a KOL, evangelist, or active contributor in the crypto/Web3 space is a strong advantage

Responsibilities

This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving KGI Asia’s growth in the Web3 and crypto space through business partnerships, industry research, and ecosystem development. The candidate will work closely with the Chief Digital Officer and cross-functional teams to ideate, evaluate, and execute innovative initiatives that position KGI Asia at the forefront of digital finance.

  • Identify and cultivate relationships across the broader Web3, fintech, and digital finance ecosystem, including platforms, technology providers, institutions, and innovators
  • Engage with KGI affiliates and external entities such as financial institutions, banks, insurers, and asset managers to explore synergies and co-development opportunities
  • Conduct ongoing research into Web3, fintech, and crypto trends, including regulatory developments, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies and business opportunities for KGI Asia
  • Build and maintain a dynamic pipeline of business opportunities, including new product ideas, strategic collaborations, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify areas for innovation and differentiation
  • Work closely with the Chief Digital Officer, product teams, strategy, compliance, and senior management to co-create new business models and product concepts
  • Facilitate ideation workshops and strategic discussions to align internal capabilities with market needs
  • Develop and present business proposals for new initiatives, partnerships, and product launches
  • Lead feasibility studies, business case development, and go-to-market planning for crypto-related projects
  • Participate in industry forums, conferences, and working groups to stay ahead of market developments
  • Build thought leadership and visibility within the Web3 and digital asset community
 
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in fintech, crypto, or digital business development
  • Industry expertise with deep understanding of the crypto, Web3, and fintech ecosystems, including exchanges, tokenization, DeFi, stablecoins, RWA, and digital asset infrastructure
  • Ability to translate market trends and research into actionable business strategies and innovative product ideas
  • Proven experience in building and managing strategic relationships across diverse stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to develop business cases, assess feasibility, and drive execution
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across internal and external audiences
  • Experience working with product, compliance, legal, and executive teams to drive initiatives from concept to launch
  • Ability to conduct and synthesize industry research into strategic recommendations.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving innovation in fast-evolving environments
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
