U.S. President Trump announces ceasefire with Iran; Hong Kong stocks rise in morning trading. The Hang Seng Index opened 143 points higher and extended its gains, rising as much as 505 points to reach a high of 24,194. By midday, it was up 461 points or 2%, at 24,150. The China Enterprises Index rose 165 points or 1.9%, to 8,762. The Hang Seng Tech Index gained 118 points or 2.3%, to 5,305. Total market turnover for the morning session was HKD 131.9 billion. Due to falling crude oil prices, CNOOC (883) dropped 1%, and PetroChina (857) fell 0.7%.
