The DXY fell to a four-year low, and Hong Kong stocks rose significantly in the morning. The HSI opened 198 points higher and then extended its gains, rising 598 points or 2.2% to 27,725; the HSCEI rose 218 points or 2.4% to 9,463 points; and the HSTECH rose 100 points or 1.7% to 5,854 points. The total turnover of the market was HK$196.33bn. Spot gold rose above US$5,200, silver futures surged 7%, Shandong Gold (1787) rose 7.6%, and China Silver (0815), Zhaojin (1818) and Lingbao (3330) rose 4% to 5.2%.
