The Hong Kong stock market pulled back throughout the day. The Hang Seng Index closed at 25,519 points, down 94 points or 0.37%; the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index closed at 9,128 points, down 21 points or 0.23%; the Hang Seng Tech Index closed at 5,576 points, down 54 points or 0.97%. The total market turnover for the day was HKD 270.121 billion. Lenovo Group (992) dropped 5.9% for the day, mainly due to interim results falling short of expectations and concerns about adjustments in the ISG business; BYD Electronic (285) fell 5.0%; on the contrary, Tencent (700), with better-than-expected results, saw its stock price once rise to HKD 600, closing up 0.7% at HKD 590 for the day.
