Hong Kong stock market rose in the morning, driven by technology stocks. The HSI opened 145 points higher and then extended its gains, rising 224 points or 0.9% to 26,456 at mid-day; the HSCEI rose 97 points or 1.1% to 9,146; and the HSTECH rose 117 points or 2.1% to 5,805. Total turnover was HK$168.4bn. The State Council's Anti-Monopoly and Anti-Unfair Competition Commission Office announced an investigation and assessment of market competition in the food delivery platform service industry. Meituan (3690) rose 7.3%, JD.com (9618) rose 2.1%, and Alibaba (9988) rose 5.3%.
