Market Focus on China-U.S. Trade Relations; Hong Kong Stocks Fall in Morning Session. The Hang Seng Index (HSI) opened 246 points lower and extended its losses, dropping as much as 621 points to a low of 22,668. By midday, it was down 511 points, or 2.2%, at 22,778. The China Enterprises Index (CEI) fell 214 points, or 2.5%, to 8,217. The Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 125 points, or 2.4%, to 5,044. Morning trading turnover in the Hong Kong stock market reached HKD 88.39 billion. New World Development (17) delayed the distribution of interest on four perpetual bonds, causing its share price to fall by 7.5%.
