Hong Kong stocks weakened throughout the day, with the Hang Seng Index falling below the 26,000-point mark. The Hang Seng Index closed at 25,952 points, down 205 points or 0.8%; the H-share Index fell 85 points or 0.9% to 9,173 points; the Hang Seng Tech Index was the weakest performer, falling 104 points or 1.8% to 5,818 points. Total market turnover was approximately HK$240 billion. Among individual stocks, Tingyi (0322) led the gains, rising 3.3% to HK$11.37. On the downside, gold stocks were under pressure, with Zijin Mining (2899) falling 5.36% to HK$30.02.
