Global stock markets initially fell before recovering, and Hong Kong stock market also saw a decline followed by a narrowing in the afternoon. The HSI opened 250 points lower and initially fell as much as 456 points before recovering significantly, closing down 16 points or 0.07% at 25,935. The HSCEI fell 9 points or 0.1% to close at 9,163, and the HSTECH fell 32 points or 0.56% to close at 5,785. Total market turnover for the day was HK$238.9bn. Leapmotor (9863) denied rumors of FAW acquiring its stake, and its share price rose 1.4%. China Duty Free (1880) reported a 22% year-on-year decline in net profit for the first three quarters but declared a dividend of 0.25 per share, marking the company's first proposed interim dividend, and its share price rose 4%.
