Hong Kong stock market fell in the morning, with the HSI opening 130 points lower and then widening its losses. At midday, it was down 213 points, or 0.8%, at 26,359; the HSCEI fell 74 points, or 0.8%, to 9,323; and the HSTECH fell 69 points, or 1.2%, to 5,743. Total turnover for the morning session was HK$118.47bn. Reports indicate that Tesla (TSLA) requires that cars sold in the US not contain Chinese components, causing CATL (3750) to fall 3.9% and Sanhua (2050) to fall 1.5%. Lithium stocks Ganfeng Lithium (1772) and Tianqi Lithium (9696) rose 7.7% and 6.4%, respectively.
