The Hang Seng Index fell 278 points or 1.1% for the day, closing at 25,388 points; the Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 65 points or 1.1%, closing at 5,678 points; the China Enterprises Index fell 107 points or 1.1%, closing at 9,150 points. The total market turnover for the day reached HKD 281.7 billion. Newly listed Leads Biolabs (9887) surged 91.7% on its first trading day. the WuXi series continued to perform well, with WuXi Biologics (2269) rising 5.5% and WuXi AppTec (2359) gaining 2%.
