Hong Kong stocks traded volatilely downwards in the morning session. The HSI opened 37 points lower, briefly rose 64 points, then fell again, closing down 109 points or 0.4% at 26,724. The HSCEI fell 48 points or 0.5% to 9,004, and the HSTECH fell 119 points or 2.2% to 5,347. Total turnover for was HK$151.4bn. The software and technology application sector was hit hard, with Tencent (0700) and Bilibili (9626) falling 3.4% and 4.9% respectively; travel platforms Tongcheng (0780) and Ctrip (9961) fell 2.5% and 6.1% respectively.
