Hong Kong stock market rebounded significantly after opening lower today. The HSI opened 75 points lower, fell 135 points at once, then rebounded to rise 119 points, or 0.5%, to 24,627 at mid-day. The HSCEI rose 44 points, or 0.5%, to 8,849, and the HSTECH rose 50 points, or 0.9%, to 5,447. Market turnover totaled HK$126.53bn at mid-day. Innoscience (2577) gained 12.3% today after entering Nvidia's chip supply chain. BYD (1211) reported a 10% MoM decrease in new energy vehicle sales in July, sending its share price down 2.1%. New consumer sector generally performed well, with Pop Mart (9992) and Laopu Gold (6181) rising 2.6% and 5.5%, respectively.
