Hong Kong stocks performed strongly in the morning session, with the Hang Seng Index opening significantly higher and maintaining its upward trend. The Hang Seng Index closed at 26,361 points, up 425 points or 1.64%; the H-share Index also performed well, closing at 9,315 points, up 151 points or 1.7%; the Hang Seng Tech Index performed best, closing at 5,886 points, up 117 points or 2.0%. Turnover in Hong Kong stocks reached HK$127.1 billion in the morning session. In terms of gains, SMIC (981) stood out, rising 5%; China Life (2628) rose 4% to HK$25.68; and Zijin Mining (2899) rose 3.9% to HK$31.94. On the downside, newly listed stocks performed weakly, with Pony.ai and WeRide both recording declines of over 12%, and Joyson Electronics also falling by more than 4%.
