Hong Kong stock market fluctuated narrowly today. The HSI opened 87 points higher before falling 83 points, ultimately reversing losses to rise 47 points, or 0.2%, to 24,906. The HSCEI fell 7 points, or less than 0.1%, to 8,888, while the HSTECH fell less than 1 point to 5,460. Total market turnover reached HK$200.9bn. Apple-related stocks continued to soar, while mobile phone component stocks continued to rise. BYD Electronics (0285) and Q Technology (1478) rose 6.1% and 5.3%, respectively, while Lens Technology (6613) and AAC Technologies (2018) rose 4% and 3.4%. Gold prices retreated after the White House clarified misinformation about gold tariffs. Chifeng Gold (6693) and Shandong Gold (1787) fell 6.9% and 8%, respectively.
