The U.S. Trade Court has ruled that President Donald Trump exceeded his authority in imposing reciprocal tariffs. Hong Kong stocks performed well in the morning session. The Hang Seng Index opened 17 points lower but reversed to close higher, gaining 315 points or 1.35% to close at 23,573. The China Enterprises Index rose 116 points or 1.4% to 8,559, while the Hang Seng Tech Index climbed 127 points or 2.5% to 5,302. Total market turnover for the day was HKD 226.8 billion. NetEase (9999) continued its upward trend, rising 1.8% for the day, while Meituan (3690) rebounded further with a 6.6% gain.
