Hong Kong stocks opened higher, with the Hang Seng Index rising 86 points and extending its gains, reaching a high of 26,179 points, up 320 points. At midday, it was up 209 points, or 0.8%, at 26,068 points. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 58 points, or 0.6%, to 9,188 points; the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 55 points, or 1%, to 5,654 points. Total turnover for the morning session was HK$114.9 billion. Meituan (3690) reported weaker-than-expected results but indicated that the peak of its food delivery subsidies had passed, causing its share price to fall 1.5%.
