Hong Kong stocks rose initially but then fell back today. The HSI opened 171 points higher but then turned lower, falling as much as 182 points to 26,741 in the afternoon, closing down 78 points or 0.3% at 26,844. The HSCEI fell 46 points or 0.5% to 9,220, and the HSTECH fell 6 points or 0.1% to 5,822. Total market turnover was HK$255.1bn. Kuaishou (1024) issued US$1.5bn and RMB3.5bn in senior notes, causing its share price to fall 1.5%. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the State Grid Corporation of China's fixed asset investment reached RMB4 trillion, and Harbin Electric (1133) and Dongfang Electric (1072) rose 5.8% and 4.9% respectively.
