Hong Kong stock market fluctuated and were weak today. The HSI opened 3 points higher and then rose 94 points, but then fell back and turned to decline. It fell 127 points or 0.5% in half a day to 23,254; the HSCEI fell 31 points or 0.4% to 8,438; the HSTECH fell 19 points or 0.4% to 5,162. The total turnover at mid-day was HK$100.0bn. Xiaomi (1810) first quarter non-IFRS net profit rose 65% to beat consensus, and the share price rose 1.4%. Kuaishou (1024) first quarter non-IFRS net profit increased 4%, the company is confident that the online advertising revenue in the second quarter will grow by double digits, and the share price rose 5%.
