Hong Kong stocks rebounded this morning after opening higher, extending yesterday's decline before quickly stabilizing. The Hang Seng Index rose 154 points, or 0.62%, to 25,212 points; the H-share Index rose 52 points, or 0.59%, to 8,989 points; and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 45 points, or 0.82%, to 5,624 points. Market turnover totaled Rmb 124.6 billion. New energy-related stocks surged after two ministries and commissions announced plans to regulate low-price competition in photovoltaic and other products in accordance with the law. Xinte Energy (1799), GCL Technology (3800), and Goldwind (2208) saw gains of 10.6% to 12.7%.
