Hong Kong stocks rallied in the morning session, buoyed by strong performance in US stocks and expectations of a Xi-Trump meeting. The Hang Seng Index rose 142 points, or 0.54%, to 26,488; the H-share Index gained 49 points, or 0.53%, to 9,425; and the Hang Seng Tech Index climbed 19 points, or 0.31%, to 6,112. Total turnover for the morning session was HK$178.7 billion. Lithium battery and metal commodity stocks performed strongly, with Ganfeng Lithium (1772) surging over 12%. Property stocks were relatively weak, with blue-chip property stocks such as Cheung Kong, Sun Hung Kai Properties, New World Development, Sino Land, and Henderson Land generally under pressure. Huaneng Power International (902) rose 9.1%.
