Hong Kong stocks closed lower today amidst fluctuating losses. The Hang Seng Index opened 20 points lower and briefly climbed above 26,000, but failed to stabilize, reaching a high of 26,062 before closing at 25,799, down 111 points, or 0.43%. The China Enterprises Index fell to 9,230, down 21 points, or 0.23%. The Hang Seng Tech Index was the weakest, closing at 5,992, down 83 points, or 1.36%. Market turnover for the half-day was approximately HK$156.2 billion. Xiaomi (1810) fell 3.1%, while Shenhua (1088) rose 1.7%.
