Hong Kong stocks rose slightly in the first half of the day, driven by the S&P and Nasdaq hitting new highs overnight. The Hang Seng Index opened 90 points higher and then fluctuated, rising 155 points in the morning before reversing in the afternoon. The index rose 19 points, or 0.07%, to 26,465 points. The H-share Index rose 9 points, or 0.1%, to 9,394 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 24 points, or 0.39%, to 6,067 points. Market turnover for the first half of the day totaled HK$160.1 billion, down approximately 30% from the previous day, as the market awaited the Federal Reserve's interest rate meeting. Newly listed Hesai Technology (2525) hit a high of HK$244 on its debut day and closed at HK$237.2, up 11.47%. TRANSTHERA-B (2617) hit a new high of HK$679.5, surging 49.4% in the first half of the day, bringing its market capitalization to over HK$250 billion. China Hongqiao (1378) fell 5.19%.
