Hong Kong stocks continued their downward trend in the morning session, with the Hang Seng Index closing midday at 25,688.87 points, up 150 points or 0.6%, the Hang Seng Tech Index at 5,780 points, up 34 points or 0.60%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index at 9,279 points, up 38 points or 0.41%. The total morning turnover was HK$164.384 billion. In terms of constituent stocks, the semiconductor sector continued to strengthen, with ASMPT (522) surging 9.18%; Hua Hong Semiconductor (1347) rising sharply 6.71%. On the decliners list, Anta Sports (2020) fell 3.49%; NetEase-S (9999) dropped 2.89%; Baidu-SW (9888) declined 2.52%.
