The US airstrike on Iran's nuclear facilities, Hong Kong stock market was relatively flat today. The HSI opened 194 points lower and then rose 69 points, but fell 31 points or 0.1% to 23,498 points at mid-day; the HSCEI fell 9 points or 0.1% to 8,517; the HSTECH fell less than 1 point to 5,133 points. The total market turnover was HK$108.2bn. Shipping stocks Pacific Basin Shipping (2343) rose 20.3%, Orient Overseas (0316), COSCO Shipping (1308) and COSCO Shipping Energy (1138) rose 2.4% to 2.7%. The United States reportedly plans to tighten semiconductor exports to China, SMIC (0981) and Huahong (1347) rose 4.9% and 7% respectively.
