Hong Kong stock market initially fell before rising. The HSI opened 154 points lower, falling 234 points in the morning before reversing its downward trend to close at 25,165, up 43 points, or 0.2%. The HSCEI rose 7 points to 9,013, while the HSTECH fell less than 1 point to 5,541. Total market turnover for the day was HK$285.29bn. Pop Mart (9992) reported a nearly 4x YoY increase in interim net profit and plans to launch a mini version of "Labubu." Its share price surged 12.5%. Lao Pu Gold (6181) saw its half-year net profit increase 2.86x, sending its share price up 8.8%. Chow Sang Sang (0116), a competitor, expects its interim profit from continuing operations to increase to between HK$900mn and HK$920mn, sending its share price surging 27.5%.
